God Never Said It Would Be Easy...Only That It Would Be Worth It

I committed my life to serving God after a Damascus Road experience on January 13, 1987.  I have waited patiently for my ministry to begin...It’s ironic that it should begin on January 13, 2017.

In this blog, we will explore and explode the myths and misconceptions about God and his ways.

We will start with this very simple declaration that is probably the most misunderstood of all:

There are only two kinds of people in the world…the children of God and the children of Satan.  Everyone is one or the other.

Contrary to what you might hear from the pulpit, we are not “all God’s children.” You are either a child of God, or you’re not. Also, contrary to popular belief, sheep are sheep and goats are goats; and try as they might, goats cannot become sheep, and sheep do not turn into goats.

When you understand that, you will begin to see "evil" in a different light.  Satan has one purpose...to draw you away from God.  He can't steal your soul, but he can make your life miserable.  How's he doing so far?

Jesus came to “seek and save” those who were “lost”…the children of God who had gone astray. He did not come to give the devil’s kids an opportunity to repent and be saved...there is no path to salvation for Satan or his minions.  We'll get much deeper into Satan and his minions in later posts (trust me on this, Satan is real and wreaking havoc all over the world).

It is widely taught and accepted that you have the “freewill” to believe or disbelieve in God…that it is your choice. That is incorrect. You did not choose your earthly father, neither do you choose your heavenly father. “Freewill” is your choice to obey or disobey.

Believing in God, being a Child of God, does not guarantee a happy, healthy, wealthy life.  Life and blessing do not come from belief in God…they come from obedience to God. Your choice, your only choice, is to obey or disobey. You have the “freewill” to choose the kind of life you want...blessed or cursed.  God hopes you choose life, but it’s your choice.

Here's something you might not have considered: The Bible was not written for everyone…it is God’s instruction manual for his children. It lays out the laws, principles and precepts for living a happy, healthy, wealthy life. Your choice, as a child of God, is to obey them or disobey them.

It’s really that simple.

You see, Christianity, true Christianity, is not a religion…it’s a way of life. A way of living life as God intended, in peace, without fear.

On this inaugural post, if you're a child of God I would just like to leave you with this thought:

“You can’t change the world; its fate was sealed long ago…but you can change YOUR world.”   All it takes is desire and commitment…and someone to show you the way.

The goal of this blog is to show you way; but if you have questions you would like answered or topics you would like to hear addressed, please send them to me.

Until next time, May God richly bless you on your journey thru life
